  • Pickleball is a fun and exciting paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It’s played with a paddle and a plastic ball — it's a great game for people of all ages, including kids!

  • Our pickleball clinics are designed for kids aged 5 to 17 years old. It's perfect for beginners who want to learn the basics and improve their skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

  • Our volunteers are comprised of professional coaches that are current and former professional players/coaches and volunteer pickleball enthusiasts. All are rigorously screened to ensure participant safety and share the same passion we do for providing a fun, educational, and safe atmosphere to learn the game of pickleball.

  • Pickleball Cares clinics are hosted at select Major League Pickleball (MLP) events during the season. All programs are conducted on either practice courts at MLP’s host facilities or state-of-the-art partner facilities. Please go to our event schedule to find the nearest youth clinic.

  • Through a mutual partnership, Major League Pickleball supports Pickleball Cares activities, programs, and events throughout the year.

  • Following an initial evaluation, participants are grouped by age and skill level to ensure each individual is playing alongside others of similar ability.

    Our clinics are suitable for both boys and girls of all skill levels within the specified age ranges.

  • Pickleball Cares will provide paddles and balls for each clinic. We recommend that all participants bring a refillable water bottle with their name clearly marked to avoid confusion with others. Valuables should be left at home as Pickleball Cares, Major League Pickleball, and the host facilities are not responsible for such items. For any special instructions or issues (i.e. medications, allergies, etc), please contact Pickleball Cares personnel before the clinic begins.

  • Participant should come dressed in comfortable and appropriate T-shirts, athletic shorts and sneakers.

    We also recommend that all partipants bring a refillable water bottle.

    Valuables should be left at home as Pickleball Cares, Major League Pickleball, and the host facilities are not responsible for such items.

  • No prior experience is required! Our clinic is open to kids of all skill levels, whether they've played pickleball before or are completely new to the game.

  • Your child will learn the basic rules of pickleball, proper grip techniques for dinking, volleying, and serving, as well as strategies for playing the game effectively. We aim to develop both individual skills and teamwork.

  • Nope! The clinic is absolutely free for all qualified participants.

  • Of course! Parents and guardians are welcome to stay and watch their children during the clinic. It's a great opportunity to see their progress and cheer them on.

  • The health and safety of our participants are our top priority. We will be following all local health guidelines and implementing necessary safety measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Please check our website for any specific COVID-19 related protocols.

  • Yes, there may be a minimum number of participants required for the clinic to take place. If we do not meet this minimum, we will communicate with registered participants regarding any changes to the clinic schedule or options for rescheduling.

  • In the event of inclement weather, we will provide updates on our website and notify registered participants about any changes to the clinic schedule. We prioritize the safety and comfort of our participants.
